These paintings are a continuation of my New Orleans World's fair series. Painted on plexi glass with reverse painting, each panel focuses on zoomed in details of the found snap-shots.  These paintings reference snap shots I found of the New Orleans World's Fair in a Thrift Store. The fair was much anticipated by locals who thought the global event would elevate Louisiana's second-class cultural status. Unfortunately, and inevitably the fair was a failure. Rife with corruption the New Orleans World fair was the only world exposition to declare bankruptcy. My installation explores both the memory of one individual visitor as well as the overall pathos associated with the World Fair's financial ruin.
